INTRO TO PILATES

 

I have decided to run a one off workshop called Introduction to Pilates.  Ideal for those who are brand new to Pilates or for those who just want to go over the fundamentals in more detail.

 

I receive many enquiries from people who want to come along to class but are apprehensive due to being new or have been put off by taking part in other classes which have been too advanced so inaccessible to them, or they have walked away feeling they just didn’t get it.

I understand how these people feel.  I also didn’t get it the first time I tried a class!  Luckily I decided to try different classes and then undertook Pilates training with the amazing Michael King.

 

If you are a Pilates newbie wanting to get started or if you walk away from a Pilates class feeling like you didn’t understand the purpose of what you were doing: then this workshop is ideal for you.  Covering posture, breathing, muscles, mobility, flexibility and more!

 

If you would like to use Pilates to improve sports performance, then this workshop is also idea l for you.  I will give you a program to take away that you can do at home or continue your journey with an instructor.  I will explain how the exercises improve your performance in whatever you take part in including running, cycling, swimming, martial arts.

 

Covering the history of Pilates, where it came from, how it has evolved and how it can benefit you.  Including a practical session featuring some classic Pilates exercises and finishing with a long stretch.  Includes a handout with exercises and stretches to take away with you.

This is taking place Tuesday 17th November 6.30-8pm at Macclesfield Rugby club, Priory Park, Priory Lane, Macclesfield, SK10 4AF.
