A workshop focused on using Pilates methods to improve your running fitness and strength.

Forget everything you know about Pilates...or think you know! This is not a lie back and relax class. You will move and you will sweat :)

Pilates is a system of strengthening exercises designed by Joseph Pilates who was a boxer and acrobat and is ideal for improving sports performance.

This event is suitable for all Pilates abilities and this will be a great introduction to those who have never done Pilates before.

Each person has their own strengths and weaknesses and Pilates highlights these. Each exercise can be modified or progressed allowing you to work at the level that feels right for you.

With an introduction to Pilates, where it came from, how it works and how the exercises can help you, plus the importance of stretching, recovery, stress management and why a golf ball could be your new best friend!
Then on to the practical side with a specially designed program of exercises which we will go through in detail, completing the program, then a follow-up discussion and Q&A.

In one workshop you will learn how to improve: core strength, breath control, posture, flexibility, mobility, concentration and muscular endurance. Plus how to reduce your risk of injury.

With a printed exercise program that you can take away with you to do in your own time, or if you prefer to work with me on a one to one basis, or come along to a class. Plus a free golf ball :)

Exercise mats are provided - or you can bring your own.
All you need is to wear some comfortable clothing that you can move freely in and we work in socks or bare feet.
